She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Martin, Sr. and Dora Marie Stahmer (Feddersen); her husband Raymond Monroe Starr; her stepdaughters, Leilia Mae and Rebecca Starr; and her siblings, LeRoy, Leslie, Emil, Jr., Edmond Stahmer, Gladys Graham, Bernice Levetzow and Francis Stahmer.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Leinen (Joel) of Calamus, Lorraine "Kay" Starr of Davenport, David Starr (Melva) of Cedar Falls, Karen Dykstra (Randy) of Fulton, Patricia "Trish" Ellis (Jason) of Bettendorf, Kathryn Starr-Hake (Rich) of Olathe, Bryan Starr (Carol) of DeWitt and Timothy Starr of New Liberty. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; a step grandchild; 32 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson.
