Rose Galitz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2020, at the age of 97, Rose Galitz of Dewitt, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Chandler and Edith Chandler (Spence); her husband John Edward Galitz; her grandson Matthew Jacobs; her son-in-law Philip Jacobs; and her siblings, John Chandler, Elizabeth Bowstead, Grace Farber, Mary Anderson, Alice Stotesbery and Edith Gleason.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marianne Marcek (Kent) of Bettendorf and Andrea Shelton (Hal) of Calamus; her grandsons, Joshua Jacobs (Kristi) of Bettendorf and Luke Shelton Shelton (Jessica) of Calamus; and her great grandchildren, Audrey, Violet, Evelyn Jacobs, Brent and Caleb Shelton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UCC Congregational Church in DeWitt, First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, and Faith Lutheran Church in Calamus.
