It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronnie Matzen of Dewitt, Iowa, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Matzen and Eleanor Matzen (Grau); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Marvel Hamann; and his sister-in-law Anne Hamann.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Hamann; his sons, Rich Matzen (Julie) of Camanche and Terry Matzen (Keri) of Wheatland; his grandchildren, Drew Matzen (Diana), Marisa Weaver (Tray), Alex Matzen (Alisha) and Tyler Matzen (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Lennix and Owen; his sister Nancy Johansen (Bruce); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Hamann and Donna Dosland (Marty). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Grace Lutheran Church Choir.
