With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Sheil of Dewitt, Iowa, who passed away on April 14, 2025 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Sheil to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bernard "Barney" Sheil and Marjorie Catherine Irish; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife C. Patrice Wood; his children, Kathleen (Karl), Amy (James) and Andy; his siblings, Pam (Jim), Trish and Jerry; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Conor, Aidan, Maeve and Jack. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A rosary will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Catholic Church (417 6th Ave, DeWitt, IA 52742). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM and at 10:15 AM at the same location. A vigil service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
