He is survived by: his wife Ruth Petersen; his children, Joyce Grell of DeWitt, Jeannie Chrest (Daryl) of Clinton, Joe Grell (Beth) of DeWitt, Janet Hugill (Taylor) of Freeport, Jacalyn Sparks (Alan) of Charlotte, Joan King (Marty) of Spragueville, Judy Paulsen (Joe) of Onslow, James Grell of Grand Mound, Lauri Burmeister (Phillip) of DeWitt and John Grell (Denise) of Delmar; and his sisters, Sally Burke and Marian Schroeder of DeWitt. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
