It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leon McGarry of Dewitt, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Leon McGarry to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo McGarry and Margaret McGarry (Lillis); his wife Marianne Wolfe; his children, Leon Joseph, Mary Coleen and John Leo; and his sisters, Teresa, Geraldine and Alice.

He is survived by: his children, Maureen McGarry (Roger Kinkor), Ann Marie Decker of Kansas City, Sheila Dentlinger (Joel) of Arcadia, Lisa Ash (Steve), Leo McGarry (Jennifer) of DeWitt and Erin Hardison (Scott) of East Moline; and his daughter-in-law Wendy McGarry Jacobsen. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School, St. Joseph Education Foundation, or The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
