He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Winterbottom and Alice Winterbottom (Smith); his siblings, Gloria Benson (Don), Billy Winterbottom and Mary Winterbottom; and his granddaughter Hope Green.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Broderick; his children, Karen Penningroth (Lee) of DeWitt, Susan Green of Iowa City and John Winterbottom (Stephanie) of Michigan; his grandchildren, Alyssa Henscheid (Derek), Hailey James (Ian) and Vincent Green; his great grandchildren, Jenna, Emme, Ollie Henscheid, Harper and Asher James; and his brother Kenneth Winters (Denise).
