Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Knepper and Jennie Knepper (Sworner); his wife Bette Ramsey; and his sons, James Allen Knepper, Jr. and Todd Knepper.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Whitcomb (Gary) of Long Grove, Becky Robertson (Scott) of Salem, Pete Cahill (Derlyin) of Lincoln, John Knepper of Waterloo, Mike Knepper and Jeff Knepper. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, as well as siblings, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Schultz Funeral Homes (722 8th St, DeWitt, IA 52742). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
