He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Ommeren and Gertrude Van Ommeren (Vermeer); and his siblings, Annetta Genant (George), Vernon Van Ommeren (Marie) and Roger Van Ommeren.
He is survived by: his wife Dot; his daughters, Kelly McDonald (Duke) of Springfield, Kay Brokaw (Jed) of DeWitt and Karma Hinkle (Doug) of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Abbi Roush (Jacob), Zoey Brokaw (Alex Lutz), Jacob Brokaw and Zach Hinkle; and his sister-in-law Charlene Van Ommeren. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the DeWitt Evangelical Free Church.
