He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Hand and Lydia Hand (Powers); and his siblings, Margaret Mary Hand, Joseph, David and Glen Hand.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet; his children, Patricia Bladel (Roger) of Highlands Ranch, Laura Gizicki (Thomas), Connie Crump of Bettendorf, Larry Hand (Dawn) of LeClaire and Mary Kay Wirth (Scott) of Maquoketa; his sister Mary Eggers (Dale) of Maquoketa; his sister-in-law Jerri Hand of Camanche; his grandsons, Matt Bladel, John Gizicki, Justin Gizicki, Andrew Gizicki, Tyler Crump, Chad Hand and Cory Wirth; and his nephew Jim Hand. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
