He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gisel and Ruby Gisel (Biedler); his brother Donald; and his brother-in-law Lewis Schoening. He is survived by: his children, Susan Petersen (Don) of Parkview, John Gisel (Jill Nothdorf) and Dennis Gisel of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Kevin Petersen (Amber), Andrew Gisel (Lynse), Becca Gisel, Jamie Ong, Ryan Ong, Chris Hartmann, Abigail Hartmann and Margaret Hartmann; his great grandchildren, Jasmine Bailey, William Hartmann, Jace Gisel, Avery Hartmann, James Hartmann and Tate Gisel; his great great grandchild Lucas Fuhs-Fowler; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Schoening and Russell Soenksen (Sandy).
