He is survived by: his daughter Angela; his son-in-law Michael Garofalo of Vernon; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Bauer of Indianola; his grandchildren, Emily, Justin Garofalo, Amanda and Mitchell Bauer; and his sisters, Donna Claussen (Ronnie) of Grand Mound and Debra Paysen (Rodney) of DeWitt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
