He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Casad and Alma Casad (Jackson); his wife Sharon Jurgensen; his sisters, Jane Casad and Nancy Blanche; his nephew Matt Blanche; and his great-nephew Douglas Casad.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Casad (Jennifer) of Eden Prairie and Julianne Christensen (Kevin) of Ankeny; his daughter-in-law Annette Casad of Davenport; his grandchildren, Brianna (John Rolf), Nathan, Morgan, Liam, James, Rebecca, Renee, Allison, Caitlin and Madeline; his siblings, Carolyn Stampe (Alan) and Tom Casad (Linda); his brother-in-law Jim Blanche (Anna Testone); his stepdaughters, Cyndi Jurgensen and Kim Ranicke (Richard); and his stepgrandchildren, Payne Ranicke, Samantha Tarter (Charlie), Heidi Barlas (Bill), Chase, Leeza and Christian Ranicke. He is also survived by 4 step-great-grandchildren.
