He was predeceased by: his father Dale Barnhart; his wife Kimberly L. Schmitz; and his grandparents, Rufus, Betty Gunn, William Ball, Dale and Phyllis Barnhart.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara Barnhart Fagan; his children, Zachary (Madison), Christian, Hanna and Cody; and his siblings, Dale Barnhart (Cynthia) and Tina Hassan (Ahmos). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or to an organization that assists homeless veterans.
