It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Benedict Jaques of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William G Jaques and Geraldine Eldridge Jaques; and his brothers, Mike Jaques and Jeffrey Jaques. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Brister (Lawrence); his children, Melissa Jaques Wiggins, William E. Jaques (Dolores), Daren Jaques (Becky), Lumea Jaques Howard (Robert) and Remington Jaques; his siblings, Steve Jaques, Timothy Jaques, Robert Jaques, Josie Jaques Steuart and Betsy Jaques Mark; and his grandchildren, Taylor, William Quentin, Darian, Wynter, Savannah, Dallas, Haley, David, Benedict, Ignatius, Genevieve, Augustine and Dominic. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Agustin's Catholic Church (545 42nd St, Des Moines, IA 50312). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Glendale Cemetery (4909 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311).
