He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Lewis and Wilma Catherine Lewis (Sams); and his siblings, Lyle Lewis, Randy Lewis, Bobbie Lewis, Sharon Walker and Barb Ewing.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Lewis (Shannantay), Jessica Johnson (Jeremy), Christopher Lewis, Brian Mahedy, Kyle Lewis and Fannie Fach (Andrew); and his brothers, Donald Lewis (Tammy) and Larry Lewis. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Memorial contributions are suggested to veteran's hospital in Des Moines.
