She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Kapayou and Anna Mae Black Cloud; her siblings, Sharon Mauskemo, Shirlene K. Eagle, Marge Mauskemo and Jimmie Ward; and her grandson Demetrius Ronnie Lee Kapayou.
She is survived by: her children, André Kapayou (Kinda) of Cedar Rapids and Shalon Kapayou of Des Moines.
A wake was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building (1569 Meskwaki Rd, Tama, IA 52339). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery.
