With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vera Woodard (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Osceola, Iowa, who passed away on April 8, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Heckathorn and Anna Mae Heckathorn (Crees); her husband Glenn Woodard; her son Kenneth "Kenny" Woodard; her brother Bob Heckathorn; and her siblings-in-law, Dave Stowers, Leonard Woodard, Richard Woodard, Joyce Krug, Linda Cornell and Sandi Woodard.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn "Bud" Woodard Jr. (Cindy) and Konni Woodard; her sister Viola Stowers; her siblings-in-law, Crystal Woodard, Kathy Murray and Robert Woodard; and her nephew Mike Woodard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Vera Woodard.
