It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Discher of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Stuart, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Shetterly and Corinne Peterson (Wolfe); her husband Paul Discher; her stepfather Lane Peterson; and her brother Vic Shetterly.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Graves (Jeff) and Phil Hedrick (Mojgan); her stepchildren, Deb Peterson (Rick), Ann Discher, Bob Discher and John Discher (Tracy); her grandchildren, Kayla Hood (Alex), Nicole Graves Andrew (Julian), Jordan Discher, Nick Discher, Craig Peterson (Nichole), Jack Peterson (Isabel) and James Peterson (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Ian and Colin Peterson; and her siblings, Teresa Van Zante (David) and Don Shetterly.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
