He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Strange and Kathryn Strange (Abbott); his former wife Anna Strange; and his siblings, Larry Strange, Bob Strange, Mary Strange and Barb Dysinger.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Strange of Des Moines; his children, Jenni Barton (Tracy) of St. Joseph, MO, Steve Strange (Marcy) of Des Moines and Danny Strange (Andrea) of Monmouth, IL; his stepchildren, Duane Harper of Franklin, Shawn Shafer of Centerville, IA and Rachel Jenkins (Tommy) of Ollie, IA; his grandchildren, Gage Barton (Lindsey), Gabriel Barton, Steven Strange, II (Alexus), Cassie Williams, Shelby Strange and Caleb Strange; his stepgrandchildren, Tommy Jenkins, Wyatt Jenkins, Kyler Shafer, Matthew Shafer and Sadie Harper; and his great grandchildren, Emma Barton, Owen Barton, Steven Strange III, Waylen Strange Kaelyn Trammel and Kinsley Trammel.
Memorial donations may be given to the Samuel E. Strange Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
