He was predeceased by: his parents, Chak Phuong and Youn Sing; his brother Savuth Chak; his nephew Michael Yon; and his grandfather Sing Heng.
He is survived by: his wife Sokhan Chak; his children, Samnang Chak (Socheata Bun), Charinna Chak (Mayoury Kounlavong) and Timothy Chak (Alexx Lothi); his grandchildren, Kaiden, Kadiya and Hayden Chak; and his siblings, Sophon Chak, Somaly Chak, John Chak, Chantha Bjerke, Savoeun Chak and Savak Chak.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
