With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ronald B. Core (Des Moines, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Core and Wilma Core; his wife Janet; his parents-in-law, Frank and Velma; his sister Nancy; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry and Judith.
He is survived by: his brother Richard Core (Judy); his sister-in-law Jo Suzanne Deffenbaugh (Scott); his nephews, Mark (Mary) and Michael (Simone); and his grandchildren, Claire, Elizabeth, Jacob, Emily, Nicholas and Lucas. He is also survived by great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also an interior lineman on the Pleasantville Trojans High School football team back in the days before face masks and as a result left several of his teeth behind on Marion County gridirons.
This extraordinary act of love was despite his worsening condition due to Alzheimer's which ultimately required one last return to Iowa in the summer of 2020.
