He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Pat" Shannon and Rose Mary Shannon (Merz); and his brothers, Tim and Jeff Shannon. He is survived by: his wife Carol Shannon (Clayton); his children, Erin Irwin (Matt), Keely Shannon (Tony) and Devin Shannon (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Kieran, Teagan, Ronan, Pepper and Nolan; his brothers, Terry Shannon (Susan) and Randy Shannon (Karen); and his sister-in-law Linda Westergaard (Neal).
