He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Hewins and Harvey Hewins; his parents-in-law, Helen and Claude Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Albert Kelm and Laura Corson Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Jones; his sons, Grant Hewins (Maura Walsh) and Daniel Hewins (Jessie); his grandchildren, Theodore, Maeve, Henry and Hilde; his siblings, Robert Hewins (Deanna), Eda Kelm and Allen Hewins (Brenda); and his brother-in-law Douglas Jones.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
