He is survived by: his wife Betty June; his children, Ethlyn Blodgett of Des Moines, Melvin (Michelle Blodgett) of Des Moines, Richard J. Blodgett of Des Moines, Evelyn (Dennis Jerde), Pamela (Harold Harvey), James (Laurie Carolus), Sherry (Ronald Slaughter) and Robert (Tina Carolus); his grandchildren, Christina Reidel, Jamie Kirby, Ronnie Thomas, Sarah Blodgett, Christopher Harvey, Heather Lampke, Rick Carolus, Ryan Slaughter, Tiffany Newland, LaChrista McBride, Robert Carolus, Amanda Carolus and Ben Rodrigez; and his sister Lillie Blodgett Elsea of Wentzville.
