It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Gayle Burgett (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Burgett and Iva Burgett (Campbell); his sister Margaret Lucille; and his brother-in-law Wes Trautner. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Russell; his children, Lynne Murphy (Morris) of Des Moines, Thomas R. Burgett of Des Moines and Lisa Jo Gift (Jeff) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Taryn Murphy (Brian Burns), Daniel Murphy (Ariel Alstott), Laurel Murphy (C. P. Rhone), Kayla Thom (Rocky), Grace Morelock and Spencer Gift; his brother Jim Quirk (Sharon) of Granbury, TX; his niece Pam Cobern (Rusty); and his nephew Todd Trautner.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Contributions may be made to the family for a memorial to be directed later.
