She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Thomsen; and her parents, Albin Backstrom and Sue Backstrom. She is survived by: her children, Kim Thomsen (Debbie), Penny Thomsen, Brian Thomsen (Pam), Green Valley and Waverly P. E. O. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church (5720 Urbandale Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310).
