She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Kollasch and Catherine Kollasch (Kisch); her daughter Pamela Elbert; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Elbert; and her siblings, Mary Jorgensen (Harry), Florence Farrell (Kenny), Geraldine Wolfe (Tom), Jim Kollasch (Laverne), William "Peanuts" Kollasch and John Kollasch (Colleen).
She is survived by: her children, Julie Opdahl (Ray Timmerman) of Norwalk, Doug Elbert of Grimes, Steve Elbert (David Rowell), Jolene Lensing (John) of Clive and Christie Berte (Curt) of Livermore; her grandchildren, Jenna Dickinson (Garrett), Brett Opdahl (Lydia) of Grimes, Cody Elbert of Iowa City, Tom Lensing of Des Moines, Sheridan Eick (Bryce) of Waverly, Nick Lensing (Anna) of Des Moines, Victor Berte (Christine) of LuVerne, Spencer Elbert of Des Moines, Anna Lensing, Donovan Berte of Waverly and Rozyln Elbert of Ames; and her brother Richard Kollasch (Ellen) of Princeton. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
