Norma L. Soethout Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma L. Soethout in Des Moines, Iowa, born in Storm Lake, Iowa, who passed away on May 20, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilbert Swanson and Ruby Swanson; and her sister Jane Sievers. She is survived by: her husband Harold D. Soethout; her children, Dwight Soethout (Deanna) of Urbandale, IA, Heidi Ehmsen (Harry III) of Solon, IA and Tyler Soethout (Stacy) of Indianola, IA; her grandchildren, Peyton, Connor Soethout, Harry IV, Kinsley Ehmsen, Adam and Ben Soethout; and her sister Marian Williams. She is also survived by many family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Lutheran Church of Hope, St. Jude's, Suncrest Hospice, or Kavanagh House.
