With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Micheal John Kellis (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on November 27, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill and Pat; his brothers, Steve and Bill; and his sibling-in-law Kaye Kellis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his sons, David (Amy) and Chad (Jill); his stepdaughter Jenny Becker (Doug); and his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Girkin (Brady), Abigail Kellis, Addison Kellis, Zennon Kellis, Grant Becker and Rachel Becker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home (105 4th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Lutheran Church (1701 8th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lutheran Church of the Cross in loving memory of Mike.
