It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mescal Ann Ira of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Swacker and Amy Swacker; and her husband Jim Ira. She is survived by: her children, Chad Ira (Kristy) and Stephanie Lydic (Joe); her grandchildren, Allee Ira, Bo Ira, Cody Lydic (Maggie) and Madison Cracraft (Reece); her great grandchildren, Ava, Colton, Kinsey, Harley and Sully; and her siblings, Mary Brown (Dean), Margie Brown (Darrell), John Swacker (Ronna), Jim Swacker (Terrie), Marlene Dotts (Terry) and Marlys Jones. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
