She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl McKercher (Lessenger) and Edward McKercher; and her husband Ed Aspengren. She is survived by: her daughter Kate (Kelli Grey); and her sister-in-law Donna Yeager (Robert). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church (3829 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Des Moines Public Library Foundation.
