She was predeceased by: her parents, Leda Joss (Nizzi) and Allen S. Joss; and her brother A. J. Joss. She is survived by: her sister Marlene Thielke; her nieces, Shelley Kramer and Lisa Vonk (Steve); her great-niece Emily Kramer; and her cousin Jim Hanawalt.
Mary had requested that in lieu of flowers that any memorial contributions be made to the Animal Rescue League of lowa.
