She was predeceased by: her parents, Evert Henry and Lizzie Ellen Pannkuk (Giddings); her son Larry Arthur Zimmerman; her husbands, Kenneth Zimmerman (Kenny) and Jack Mefferd; and her siblings, Bud Pannkuk, Mary Lou Conine (Pannkuk) and Clifford Pannkuk.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Allen Zimmerman of Des Moines, IA; her sister Mildred Bleeker of Ames, IA; her daughter Kay Ridgway (Randy) of Mitchellville, IA; and her grandchildren, Jodi Berven of Norwalk, IA, Tory Harding (Terri) of Stuart, IA, Carolyn Stevenson of Des Moines, IA, Sherry West of Des Moines, IA, Ronda West of Des Moines, IA, Lisa Stevenson of Des Moines, IA, Wendy Issichopoulos (Evan) of Apache Junction, AZ, Charles Ridgway of Altoona, IA and Matthew Ridgway of Prairie City, IA. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
