She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Butler and Miriam Butler; her husband Ronald Short; and her son Randal (Robin Short). She is survived by: her children, Marcella Roby (Ronald) of Alamo, TX and Russell Short (Teresa) of Waukee; and her grandchildren, Matt, Josh, Carmen, Carrie, Jordan, Jade, Seth, Anne and Lee. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ernst Funeral Home (80 NE Dartmoor Dr, Waukee, IA 50263). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn's memory to: Spurgeon Manor Educational Fund or Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
