He was predeceased by: his parents, Camine Astone and Rosa Marino Astone; his siblings, Gennaro Astone and Maria Rosario (Annamaria Astone); and his wife Maria Pandullo.

He is survived by: his son Gino Astone; and his siblings, Angelo Astone, Aldo Astone and Maria Rosaria Astone. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (15 Indianola Rd, Des Moines, IA 50315).
