She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Wilbur Nelson and Georgia Nelson (Ladson); her husband Deward McMillen; her siblings, John Nelson and Roberta Ellerbroek; and her daughter-in-law Deb McMillen.
She is survived by: her children, Kirk (Gina) of Des Moines, Kent (Jacque) of Des Moines, Kip (Gayle) of Des Moines and Keri Harris (Steve Scott) of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Immanuel United Methodist Church (2900 49th St, Des Moines, IA 50310). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
