It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland Edwin Ashburn Jr. (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Leon, Iowa, who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Linda Berg; his children, Brett Ashburn (Lisa) and Dixie Davidson (Mike); his grandchildren, Desi Solo (Jake), Crystal Davidson (Cody) and Caleb Davidson; his brother John Ashburn; and his siblings-in-law, Chris Howe, Jean Berg and Ed Berg (Shelby). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and their "adopted" children and grandchildren.
