Laurel Gardner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2024, at the age of 90, Laurel Gardner (Bondurant, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Wilson and Lucille Wilson; and her siblings, Violet Nelson of Arizona, Rosemary Brown of Des Moines, Glenda Buckles of San Diego, CA and Glen Jr. of Forest City, Iowa..

She is survived by: her husband David McGrath; her children, Amy Hilgemann (Bob) of St. Louis, MO, Evert Todd McGrath (Angie) of Waterloo, Iowa, David McGrath (Kasey) of Bondurant, Iowa and Hugh Gardner (Jenny) of Hastings, MN.; her grandchildren, Joshua McGrath of Waterloo, Iowa, Jared McGrath of Waterloo and Emily McGrath of Altoona; and her sister Sharolyn Gertsen of Raleigh, NC.. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bondurant Federated Church (103 2nd St SW, Bondurant, IA 50035). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Bondurant Cemetery (879 2nd St SE, Bondurant, IA 50035).
