He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Harter and Velma Harter. He is survived by: his wife Alice Harter (Hyde); his children, Shelley Stow (Kevin) of Ames, Steven and Scott (Wanda) of Waukee; his grandchildren, Kris Stow (Taylor Stoeckler) of Ankeny, Betsy Contreras (Albert) of Ames, Kendall Stow of Minneapolis, Steele Harter (Bridget) of Des Moines, Safire Harter and Stryker Harter of Waukee; his great grandchildren, Robert, James Contreras, Ezra and Bryanna Harter; and his siblings, Carolyn Landon, Joanne Hulsebus, Phyllis Jensen, Rick Harter and Jerry Harter. He is also survived by his family, including brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, his cousins.
