We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2025, at the age of 82, Judy Moore Shanks of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Osceola, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Max Moore (John Shanks) and Helen Berniece Moore (McWilliams). She is survived by: her siblings, Billie, Robert and Shirley; her siblings-in-law, Ray Jamison and Carol Moore; her children, Ted Shanks (Wendy) of Woodward, IA and Tammy Shanks of Des Moines; her sisters, Bonnie Jones (Gary) of Des Moines, IA and Linda Carson (Larry) of Osceola, IA; her sister-in-law Nancy Moore of Humeston, IA; and her grandchildren, Nathan Shanks (Melissa), Nicholas Sharp (Carrie), Joshua Sharp (Annie), Jessica Vaughn, Jami Olsen (Chad), Lyndi Brass (Justin), Tori Day (Tim) and Sarah Knight (James). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kale Funeral Home - Osceola (301 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
