He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Voorhes (Dave) of Northwood and Elaine Scherb Farrell of Bentonville, Arkansas; his sons, Joshua Scherb of Des Moines, Zachary Scherb (Amy) of Council Bluffs and Christopher Scherb (Maressa) of Earlham, Iowa; and his granddaughters, Kiara, Kayla, Khloe, Adeline and Magdalene. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins.
