With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Kuntz of Des Moines, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joan has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Dabner and Lora Dabner (Palmer); her husband Fred; and her siblings, Jack Dabner and Jane Martens.
She is survived by: her son Steve (Karen); and her grandchildren, Eric, David and Elizabeth Kuntz (Beth).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory - Winterset Chapel (1823 N John Wayne Dr, Winterset, IA 50273). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Winterset Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
