He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mitchell and Lois Mitchell (Bartlett); his brother Leon Mitchell; and his former wife Marilyn Kness. He is survived by: his significant other Lorraine Carr; his children, Marilee Scieszinski (Mike), Marianne Crall (Phil), Jan Stalzer (Phil) and Randy Carr (Jenny); his grandchildren, Chad Scieszinski (Brittaney), Tara Scieszinski (Luis), Kayla McConnell (Aaron), Ryan Crall, Tyler Crall, Cory Crall and Jake Stalzer (Jenna); and his great grandchildren, Millee, Cameron and Remi.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A burial was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at the Friends Cemetery.
