It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenna Grochala of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Glenna is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Glenna's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shepard and Agnes Shepard. She is survived by: her husband Krystof; her children, Catherine Kline (Bradley) and Charles; her grandson Franklin Kline; and her caregivers, Asia and Dawn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Iles Grandview Park Chapel (3211 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (650 NE 52nd Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Glendale Cemetery (4909 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311).
Memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa or All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines.
