George Clive Statler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Clive Statler of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Brighton, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Vera Jeanette Statler (Woodford); and his sisters, Alice Dickinson (Don) and Lois Hooks Phillips (Dewayne Hooks). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Statler of Des Moines, Iowa; his children, Brenda Secoy (Rick) of Vine Grove, Kentucky and Denny Statler (Jennifer); and his grandson Doug Statler (Chris) of Ankeny. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
He was a blood donor donating over 20 gallons, and a supporter of Boys Town.
