Elaine Charlotte Hughes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2025, at the age of 77, Elaine Charlotte Hughes (Des Moines, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Morris and Clayton Schuster; and her sisters, Dee and Ruth Ann. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hughes; her daughters, Chrystal Filkins (Donovan) and Shannon Hilleson (Craig); her grandsons, Blake Goodale, Nathan Goodale (Reilly), Jackson Hilleson and Evan Hilleson; and her great grandchild Magnolia Goodale.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).

Memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa Veterans Home or UnityPoint Hospice.
