With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Walter (Des Moines, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. J. Rossman (Bill) and Marie Rossman (Brownson); her husband Dennis J. Walter; her son Bill; and her siblings, Lawrence Rossman, Marjorie Giesler, Joseph and Daniel.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Phyllis Walter; her grandchildren-in-law, Amy, Susan Walter, Robert Walter and Patrick Walter (Teresa); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Penelope Walter, Hadley, Camden, Ryder Johnson, Willow Walter and Violet Ronnau; and also, Nancy Walter, Emily Johnson (Josh), Ellie Ronnau (Max), Michael Walter (Elizabeth), Tom (Kendra), Erin, Eleanor Walter, Dennis Walter II and Kyle Walter.
The family suggests memorials be given to All Saints Catholic Church, Dowling Catholic High School, Bishop Drumm Care Center, or Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation.
