With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Winegardner (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on June 8, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Rose Mary; his former wife Jean Ann Winegardner; and his son-in-law Roger DeGroot. He is survived by: his wife Denice; his children, Scott Winegardner (Pat), Steve Winegardner (Stephanie), Roger Short (Lori) and Terri Short Osby (Greg); his former wife Nancy Fletcher; and his stepchildren, Carroll Shipley Jr. (Bud), Harry Shipley (Traci), Sheila Shipley, Jameson Shipley and Justan Shipley (Neme). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Iowa Veterans Foundation in Dennis' memory at Iowa Veterans Foundation, 623 6th Avenue Council Bluffs, IA 51501.
