He was predeceased by: his parents, Norval Michael and Lucille Michael; and his brother Larry Michael. He is survived by: his sons, Travis Michael and Toby Michael; his granddaughter Liliana Michael; his significant other Valerie Wiorek; his significant other's daughters, Heather Gomez, Natasha Miller, Lisa Sharpnack and Crystal Flanagan; and his siblings, Gene Michael, Mary Jane Michael and Diane Sweeden. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other loving relatives, and many special friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
